Shortest trip

Together with Tsutomo I made a trip to South Korea. It was his idea, as he became a fan of Korean Girl Groups, although they offer so much less interaction. This fact is totally unfathomable for me, as I became a Japanese idol fan because of the extensive offering of interaction with the members and the much much more wider array of music genres. But to each his own, I guess. Continue reading

Bellha Final Days – Part 2

28.12.2016

Considering that before my trip only four shows had been announced, but while I arrived nearly everyday shows or events were added, I could count myself lucky – and with me all the other fans of Bellring Girls Heart. Today was another of this sudden shows, an In-Store-Live for promotion of their new single Spine EP at Tower Records Shinjuku, so I weren’t able to go for the Predia One Man. I had never took part in such an event with Bellha, therefore it would become a new experience: Group Chekis I did already with them, but this time it would also be Group Handshakes. Luckily only three members were around, so it wouldn’t become too difficult to think of topics to talk about. Continue reading

Finish line

13.11.2016

On this day Party Rockets GT held a two part festival at Shibuya ASIA of which they were the host of, under the name “Rockin’ Together”. The first part was started by an Opening Act, a group called 高橋優里花 with ミラクルキャンディーベリー (Miracle Candy Berry), consisting of very young members and its leader having the last show with them, to continue in another group soon. Continue reading

Busy Days

31.10.2016

That day, which was Halloween, didn’t had much options regarding idol shows, so in the evening I decided to go for a festival that had JyuJyu in its schedule – even very early, which suits me best. I am not fond of Halloween though and regret it came over from America. It is nearly as bad as Christmas in its materialistic way. Idols dressing up in costumes doesn’t help either. Continue reading

Starting nicely!

This trip became my most relaxed this far. In contrast to my prior trips I focused just on a small range of groups, without even caring much about missing out on others. Even skipping possible shows on some days for the alternative of doing nothing but stay at my hotel for sleeping and Internet didn’t bother me. It was very pleasant and I liked this less busy way of life a lot. To be more precise, I saw several shows by PASSPO, Bellring Girls Heart and Party Rockets GT, which I each enjoyed the most. Continue reading

Eventful Events

29.04.2016

This day started early, as at 12 I had to be in Odaiba, attending a kind of event I have never been to before: The Hacchake Tai Talk-Eat-Drink-Mini-Live-Karaoke-Event – I have no idea how to call it. It was located in Tokyo Culture Culture, right next to the big ferris wheel, on top of Zepp Tokyo, offering a table and seat, food and drinks. Continue reading

Oh happy day…!

30.12.2015
On this day an Idol Koushien at Shinjuku Blaze happened, one that was sold out very quickly, but were I was able to not only get tickets for myself but also to provide Marty and Caio with those. Aren’t I great? Every effort paid out though, becoming one of the best experiences in my idol fandom. Not the best, then as I mentioned, Caio was present 😛 Just kidding. Continue reading

Reunitings and Embarrassment

23.12.2015
That day became the first time of were I did something like venue hopping: Changing places several times to see performances of different group, just staying at one venue as long as the live and event of the group I wanted to see lasted, to then go for the next live somewhere else in town. I also did a lot of those the following and I can say: I hate it. Don’t know how other manage that, but going back and forth long ways (I went Ueno – Shibuya – Akihabara – Shibuya – Ueno) didn’t let me enjoy the lives that much, as I subconsciously felt always under time pressure. Tokyo Idol Festival 2015

TIF – it has been a long time since my first attendance of this special idol festival. One year ago it was the final of my first ever idol trip to Japan and this time it would be the presumably grand final again. Although it had many issues back then – despite the heat the room for improvement in organisation – it still oozes a unique flair and attraction: I don’t even mean necessarily the amount of idol groups attending it, but its being two days, the location in the centre of Odaiba, its huge areal with Indoor and Outdoor stages, the marketing area – in its entirety an idol festival that has no comparable competitor. Continue reading
